This is as good as it gets when it comes to seeing celebs at Comic-
Con, picures and videos to follow. Doing everything via iPhone
without a charger, so that ruined my plans of live blogging the whole
event.

Followed by a special screening of Ponyo in its entirety with a
special introduction by Miyasaki himself. He sai something to the
effect of: After being approached by a five year old kid, who just
seen the movie before this engagement, the kid said it looked like a
five year old made that movie. Miyazaki took the statement as a manor
compliment to his movie that was obviously centered around none other
than a five year old boy and girl. As well he should because the
movie was excellently and obviously very laboriously done.

Arriving at an early 8:15ish I promptly Disembarked and boarded the
trolley to the convention center. There I was greeted with, you
guessed it, hoards of people. I got my badge after waiting in a
remarkedly large line for all the pros and press.

Presently standing in another reeeally long line to see the Warner
Bros. Presentation. Miyazaki will be here later to present along with
Disney, and I hear later there will be a screening of his new movie
Ponyo.

Today, after being held up from going to Comic-Con due to overcrowding
and a lack of parking spaces where you don't have to pay 20 bucks for,
I finally entrain to my intended destination. I had no luck driving
other than finding a cool little MMA-Jujitsu dojo, or whatever you
call 'em, off the beaten path. SD is just not that familiar to me
yet. It feels alot like Denver and San Francisco but I ended up
getting frustrated driving around looking for unofficial Comic-Con
parking.

I resolved that the best way to travel to SD is to take the Coaster
train from Carlsbad, where I'm staying with family, directly into
town–round trip $13 with transfers to the trolley and other public
transportation. I definitely recommend it for the splendid vistas
from the upper deck of the most awesome surf spots in Southern Cali,
and for the most comfortable ride ever. If I end up living here,
which is highly probable, I will definitely be taking full advantage
of this environmentally low impact, speedy way of travel.
